Web prototype v0.4.3.5Updated September 17, 2026

Brewery & Lure Brew use

If you already have a Lure Brew, the developer recommends using it on the clown faces wearing blue hats in the darkness. A nearby lamp is needed to bring the target within potion range; it is not a way to reach locked areas.

Where to use a Lure Brew

Oddspeed’s August 30 developer reply identifies the faces in the darkness as clown locations and recommends Lure Brew for the ones with blue hats. This gives you a specific visual target rather than a reason to throw a brew at an arbitrary dark patch.

  1. Find a blue-hatted clown face in the darkness.
  2. Bring a lamp close enough to that location for potion placement. The developer’s August 31 follow-up says the brew has limited range.
  3. Use the Lure Brew on that target to lure the clown out. This sequence assumes the brew is already available; it is not an unlock or crafting recipe.

These steps summarize the developer’s advice for the large-level prototype. They are not a claim that this site has tested every target or later build.

Why the brew will not reach a target

Separate two conditions before spending more resources: an otherwise reachable target may be outside potion range, while a target in a locked area cannot be reached by dropping a potion there. The developer describes moving a lamp closer for the first case; the reply does not offer a brew-based bypass for the second.

If you cannot place another lamp, check the elevator and lamp-capacity relationship. There is no verified tile count here: do not treat a distance guessed from a screenshot as the placement radius.

Do not plan around an endless brew effect

The v0.4.3.5 patch fixes brews lasting indefinitely. An old recording showing an endless effect is therefore not a reliable timing reference for this build. That patch gives no duration table and does not prove that every brew uses the same timer.

What this page can and cannot tell you about crafting

The major update introduces the Brewery and a new clown resource. It does not supply a complete unlock sequence or recipe list. The Lure Brew target and range advice above is directly documented; exact ingredient costs, crafting steps and other brew effects still need a current, readable Brewery interface or equally specific source.

For an immediate placement problem, use the target/range checks above. For an ingredient or unlock question, this page does not yet provide a verified answer. It should not be used as a complete recipe database.
